The Department of Veteran Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Network Contracting Office 2, Bronx NY intends to award a sole source Firm-Fixed Price contract for maintenance of Stryker Zoom Stretchers Models 1125 and 1025 for the VA New York Harbor Healthcare System (Brooklyn Campus) in accordance with 41 U.S.C. ยง3304(a)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 Only One Responsible Source. This is not a request for competitive offers and no solicitation is available. Market research has determined that these services are highly specialized are only available from a single source without an unacceptable delay or duplication of cost and no other type of services will satisfy agency requirements. The Government intends to award the contract on or around 3/20/2020t o Stryker Corporation, 3800 E Centre Ave, Portage, MI 49002-5826. Stryker Corporation medical division certifies that it is the original equipment manufacturer or sole source distributor of parts for Stryker products. All parts are manufactured at Stryker or by an outside supplier specifically for Stryker. An untrained individual would not have access to the proprietary tools and replacement parts necessary to repair the listed equipment (see attached draft SOW for details). This synopsis announcement is being issued for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation or request for competitive proposals.
