This is a NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PURCHASE ORDER using Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items.

The Army Contracting Command-Aberdeen Proving Ground, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, 4118 Susquehanna Avenue, Aberdeen, MD 21005 has a requirement to procure the following items:

The Government intends to award a Firm-Fixed Price sole source purchase order to PerkinElmer Health Sciences, Inc. 710 Bridgeport Avenue, Shelton CT 06484-4794. The United States Army has a requirement for full-on site maintenance services on the OPTIMA5300DV, Polyscience Chiller, AS93PLUS and ICP Software for a base and two option years.

PerkinElmer Health Sciences, Inc. is the sole available source for full-on site maintenance services on the OPTIMA5300DV, Polyscience Chiller, AS93PLUS and ICP Software , as these systems are equipped with proprietary technology. PerkinElmer Health Sciences, Inc. does not have any distributors, or re-sellers of this proprietary service. The associated North America Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811219 and the Business Size Standard is $19,000,000.00.

A determination by the government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
