Work involves towing the T/S ENTERPRISE from Massachusetts Maritime Academy, Buzzards Bay, MA, to a suitable drydock for repairs and redelivery to Massachusetts Maritime Academy after completion. Work includes but is not limited to: grit blast and paint sea chests, replacement of expansion joints, open and inspect sea valves, taking of rudder clearances and performing rudder test, tailshaft and stern tube inspection, ultrasonic gauging of steel, propeller inspection and cleaning, blasting and coating of the hull, cleaning fathometer trunks, anchor chains and lockers, replacement of hull anodes, inspection of cathodic protection system, fuel and ballast tank inspection, and cargo hatch inspection.
