The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 11, in accordance with FAR 6.302.1 (only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Transgenomic Inc. of Omaha, NE for Preventative Maintenance and Repairs of the Transgenomic Wave System. NAICS 811219 applies; the small business size standard is $7.0 Million. The Contractor shall provide all parts, materials, labor, supervision, test equipment, and manufacturing necessary to provide Preventative Maintenance and Repairs of Transgenomic Wave System for the VA Ann Arbor Healthcare System, 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, MI, for the period from date of award through September 30, 2010 with four (4) additional one (1) year options. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers. No solicitation package is available. A determination not to compete is solely within the discretion of the Government. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received no later than 3:30 pm on March 1, 2010.
