The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Joint Munitions & Lethality Contracting Center Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806-5000, on behalf of the U.S. Army ARDEC (Armament Research Development Engineering Center), intends to issue a Request for Proposal for the procurement of Stereolithography Equipment Maintenance. The requirement is to provide equipment maintenance services for the ARDEC Rapid Prototyping Activities Viper Si2, SLA-3500 and Post Cure Apparatus (PCA) Stereolithography Rapid Prototyping Systems manufactured by 3D Systems, Inc. Services include preventive and emergency maintenance of all associated hardware/software, controllers, and telephone technical support. Options for 4 additional years are provided to continue Basic Contract requirements. The Government intends to fulfill this requirement with a one-year base contract and four one-year options with an estimated contract value of $263,142.00. It is the Governments intent to award this action on a sole source basis to 3D Systems, Inc. under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2) Only One Responsible Source. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be posted on the US Army JM&L, LCMC Procurement Network website located at http://procnet.pica.army.mil and http://www.fbo.gov on or about 31 March 2010.
