The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement to implement a full service preventive maintenance agreement for coverage on one (1) Hitachi Model S-4700-II Hi-Resolution Field Emission (FE) Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) (S/N 470-19-09) located at the NIST, Gaithersburg, MD campus for a one (1) year period. It is anticipated that the solicitation will be issued on or about April 24, 2003, utilizing FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Government anticipates the award of a fixed-price purchase order on or about May 15, 2003. The competitive solicitation, all amendments and any questions and answers related to this procurement will be made available via the internet at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The solicitation will only be available via the internet at the above website. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the website. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant purchase order.
