This is a notice of intent to award on a sole-source basis for the commercial items in accordance with FAR Part 12 procedures, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only notice; a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS)Citizenship & Immigration Service (CIS) intends to contract with Symquest Group Inc, 30 Community Drive, Burlington, VT, for firm, fixed price maintenance of 35 photocopiers (including 34 Canon and 1 Ricoh), located in various vacilities of the Vermont Service Center in Chittenden and Franklin counties of Vermont, for the period of 10/01/2003 through 09/30/2004. Symquest is the local authorized dealer for both Canon and Ricoh photocopiers and therefore the sole manufacturere's representative in the immediate area. This contract is for services which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate only with Symquest Group under the authority 41 U.S.C. 253 ( c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1 unless additional sources are located. This notice is being solicited on a sole-source basis unless alternate sources are located.
