Notice of Award of a Sole Source Procurement to Fonte Marine Towing and Salvage for the Recovery of the Sunken Vessels at J. Percy Priest, Nashville, TN.

U.S. Army Corps of Engineer, Nashville District, Contracting Branch, has awarded contract W912P521P0003 on a sole source basis (as prescribed in FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i) for purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold the Contracting Officer may solicit from one source if the Contracting Officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available ( e.g., urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand-name or industrial mobilization) to Fonte Marine Towing and Salvage. This procurement is to supply a floating crane and support boat with operators to remove the vessel at J. Percy Priest Lake. The period of performance under this contract is twenty (2) calendar days after contract award.  The solicitation resulted in a firm-fixed price contract.

The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 488390 with a Small Business size standard of $41,500,000.00.

This action has been conducted in accordance with FAR Parts 12 and 13. This notice is posted for informational purposes only and is not a request for competitive quotes. A determination by the Government to conduct this requirement as a sole source contract is hereby attached for informational purposes.  Any information received from the above request will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement in the future for a similar requirement. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice. Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. If potential offerors choose to submit information, past performance and references regarding capability to perform these services must be provided along with the statement of capability. The Government will not award a contract based on the information received, nor reimburse participants for information they provide. Information provided is strictly voluntary. The Government reserves the right not to compete future requirements based upon information received.
