In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Part 6.302-1, the US Environmental Protection Agency, Center for Environmental Solutions & Emergency Response, Groundwater Characterization & Remediation Division (GCRD), located in Ada, Oklahoma intends to award a fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis to TESCAN USA Inc. for purpose of obtaining a service maintenance agreement for the TESCAN VEGA-3 LMU Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM), SN 116-0263. The services will be needed for a Base Period of 1 base year with two one-year optional periods. TESCAN USA Inc. and its employees are the sole source for factory new or factory remanufactured parts, local service representation and factory trained/certified engineers to provide service and installation for all instrumentation manufactured and sold by TESCAN Brno s.r.o. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis for this requirement; and is issued for notification purposes only. No known potential alternate sources exist which could satisfy GCRD¿s requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for quote/proposal. Any interested party that believes it is capable of meeting the GCRD requirement described herein may identify themselves and must provide evidence of their capability to fulfill the requirement being requested by 4:00PM CT on March 10, 2020.
