The Department of Veterans Affairs, Illiana Health Care Systems, VA Medical Center, 1900 East Main Street, Danville, IL.-Intent to Sole source procurement under authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source, with Cepheid, 904 Caribbean Drive, Sunnyvale, CA. To provide all required labor, material, equipment, and emergency services including travel cost to maintain and repair GeneXpert Analyzer equipment at the VAMC in Danville Illinois. The proposed action is for the supplies/services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source. The Government believes that only one responsible source can provide the supplies/services that will satisfy the agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. No solicitation document is available and telephone request will not be accepted. However, any qualified vendor that determines it can meet the government's requirements may give written notification through e-mail to Contract Specialist, [email protected], by September 10, 2010, 3:00PM EST. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with requirements at no cost or obligation to the government, however the information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no responses are received, the VA Medical Center, Danville, Illinois will proceed to sole source this requirement to Cepheid.
