VISN 22 Network Contracting Office, Long Beach, California intends to negotiate a commercial FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP), sole source procurement with Hologic Inc., 35 Crosby Drive, Bedford, MA 01730-1401. This procurement is being conducted in accordance with FAR 13.106-1 (b) Soliciting from a single source and incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-88. This BOS announcement constitutes the only solicitation issued; a separate written solicitation will NOT be issued. Request for Quotation is RFQ VA262-16-Q-1081. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 811219 and the small business size standard is considered $20.5 Mil. This procurement is for a Service contract for preventive maintenance services for the Mammography Systems at the VA Long Beach Healthcare System located at 5901 E. 7th Street, Long Beach, CA 90822. Contractor shall provide the following but not limited to: furnishing all necessary parts (including plastics coverage), labor and transportation required to repair and maintain the following Government-owned Hologic Mammography Systems: a. Hologic Digital Mammography System, Model Selenia, EE# 95218, SN: 29404083262 b. Hologic Digital Stereo Loc II, SN: 20604080075 c. Cenova CAD, SN: C0141 Telephone technical support, factory certified parts, supplied by the Contractor at their own expense, and labor are all included as part of this yearly service. In addition, two scheduled preventive maintenance inspections will be performed during the year of service. Period of performance shall be August 1, 2016 through July 31, 2017. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
