Intent to Sole Source


The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Installation Contracting Division, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD intends to award a sole source to LECO CORPORATION 3000 Lakeview Ave Saint Joseph , MI 49085-2319 under authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c)(1), FAR part 6.302-1 -only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the requirement LECO CORPORATION is the exclusive source for parts and software is proprietary to LECO CORPORATION. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 811219 with a business size standard of $19,000,000.00 Dollars.

The requirement is the following: On-Site Service and One (1) preventive maintenance (PM) visit; full service technical support for Pegasus Mass Spectrometer, One base year with two option years. The contractor shall perform two yearly, scheduled Planned Maintenance Inspections on the unit in accordance with accepted protocol. All parts installed or replaced shall be OEM Specifications.

This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes, however, all information received by 8 March 2013 will be considered by the Government.
