The Department of Veterans Affairs Mid Atlantic Health Care Network (VISN 6) intends to negotiate a sole source commercial item procurement with Hologic Inc for emergency repair and maintenance for the Hologic Selenia digital mammography unit along with all associated upgrades and software. The emergency repair and follow-on maintenance must be completed by the end of February 2010. This proposed procurement is for services which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is NOT a request for competitive quotes. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to perform this work no later than Noon, February 18, local time. All documentation including certification of OEM training and discounts offered must be submitted with any interested party information. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
