This procurement is set aside for Small Business Concerns Only. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to issue a firm fixed price purchase order. The purchase order will cover the dry dock repairs of NOAA Ship GLORIA MICHELLE.Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform the following (including, but not limited to): Base Items - Drydocking and Routine Drydocking Work, Hull Painting, Hull Gauge Testing, Zinc Anode Replacement, Potable Water Tank Preservation, Hull Valve Servicing, Keel Cooler Servicing, Temporary Services. Option Items âMultibeam Installation, Netmind Tranducer Installation, Quarter Tank Inspection.
The performance period is 19 calendar days, with an anticipated start date of June 20, 2005. Anticipated award date is June 15, 2005. The GLORIA MICHELLE is 72 feet long and its homeport is 166 Waters Street, Woods Hole, MA 02543. It is NOAAâs intent to conduct this procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. This procurement is being issued as a 100% Small Business set-aside in accordance with FAR 52.219-6. The NAIC code is 336611 and the small business size standard is 1,000 employees. The simplified acquisition will be issued as a best value Request for Quote (RFQ) evaluating past performance, price and price related factors (cost to transit), on or about May 16, 2005 with quotes due on or about June 7, 2005. Quotes may be submitted via e-mail to Ms. Sampson. The RFQ will be issued via electronic posting at Federal Business Opportunity (FEDBIZOPPS) web page www.eps.gov. Hard copies of the RFQ will not be issued. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor FEDBIZOPS for the release of the RFQ, specification, drawings and all subsequent amendments.
