The United States Coast Guard Maintenance & Logistics Command, Atlantic intends to issue a Commercial Request for Quote (RFQ) for Dockside Repairs to the USCGC CUSHING (WPB-1321). The acquisition will be solicited Total Small Business Set-Aside. The Coast Guard intends to conduct the procurement in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The simplified acquisition will be issued as a Best Value, Request for Quote (RFQ), on or about June 29, 2007. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. It is incumbent upon contractors to monitor the FEDBIZOPS web page for RFQ release and all subsequent amendments. Please sign up for the Auto Notification service to receive e-mail from FEDBIZOPPS when an action is taken under this solicitation. A CD-ROM containing all applicable drawings will be sent via U.S. mail, if requested. Send all requests via e-mail [email protected]. The standard industrial classification code is 3732 and the NAICS is 336611. The homeport of the vessel is 5 Callie La Puntilla, San Juan PR 00901. All work will be performed at the vessels homeport. The performance period is eighteen (18) calendar days with a start date on or about 17 September 2007. The scope of the acquisition is for (1) Provide Temporary Logistics, (2) Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tanks, (3) Clean Sewage System Piping, (4) Clean and Inspect Heat Exchangers, (5) Inspect MDE and SSDG Exhaust System (6) Renew Shower Stalls, (7) Renew False Bulkheads, (8) Repairs and Renew Deck Covering System(s) Trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures, shall accomplish all welding and brazing. The USCGC CUSHING is a 110 Foot B Class Patrol Boat homeported in San Juan, PR. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 500, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request [ten days from solicitation issuance]. MLCA must have ten (10) days advance notice to complete a CD-ROM set of drawings. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.*.DWF, etc). Drawings are still available in hardcopy; however, a non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings.
