The Department of Veterans Affairs, VA Sierra Pacific Network (VISN 21) intends to negotiate a noncompetitive award to Carl Zeiss Microscopy LLC, 1 Zeiss Drive, Thornwood, NY 10594 for preventive maintenance of one (1) government-owned Carl Zeiss Microscopy Axio Observer Z1 Stand Mot, S/N 3834001499 for the VA Palo Alto Health Care System, 3801 Miranda Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304. This procurement is a sole source award in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) Soliciting from a single source. The contract will consist of a Base Year and Four One (1) Year Options. Sole source justification has been prepared in support of this acquisition. Firms believing they can provide these services must submit a written notification to the Contracting Officer with supporting evidence to that effect in sufficient detail to demonstrate the contractor's ability to meet the stated requirements. This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals. All responses to this notice are solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The contractor shall provide licensed and factory trained service representatives by the manufacturer to work on all components of the equipment and the latest revisions of hardware and software as required.
