The U.S. Army Mission and Installation Contracting Command (MICC), Fort Stewart, Georgia is conducting market research to determine the extent to which small businesses are capable of providing location and repair of 20 miles of fiber optic cable. This cable is in the same sheath with a CenturyLink fiber optic cable. CenturyLink appears to be the only authorized source for this service. MICC Fort Stewart seeks to confirm this through industry's response to this Sources Sought. This is not a solicitation, and if there is not a sufficient response to this posting, no solicitation will be issued. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor the Federal Business Opportunities website located at http://www.fbo.gov for the release of any follow-on information. The anticipated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 517110, with a small business size standard of 1500 employees. The Government will not reimburse any expenses associated with submissions to this Sources Sought posting. Any information submitted is voluntary.

Interested businesses are invited to submit a capabilities statement that demonstrates the ability to provide services consistent with those described in the attached DRAFT Performance Work Statement (PWS). Responses shall not exceed 2 pages and must include the items listed below:
1. Company name, CAGE Code, and DUNS number
2. Point of Contact info to include phone number, email address, and physical address
3. Socio Economic Group (8a, HUB Zone, services disabled veteran owned small business, economically disadvantaged woman-owned small business, etc.)
4. Company's North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code
5. Capabilities statement and other information that demonstrates company's ability to meet the Government's needs.
The information received in response to this sources sought will be used to finalize the acquisition strategy for this requirement. If it is determined that responses received from small businesses do not address all of the requirements stated above, the final acquisition may be competed on a full and open basis. Large business concerns are not prohibited from responding to this announcement, however information submitted from large businesses may not be used if an adequate number of small businesses demonstrate an ability to perform the required service.
