The U.S. Coast Guard, Naval Engineering Division, 300 East Main Street, Norfolk, Va has a requirement to AZIPOD Auxiliary and Data Slip rings for the USCGC aboard the vessel were installed by ABB, Inc. and are a sole source company for the Azipods. The current slip rings are currently manufactured by ABB, Inc. for the Azipods; the parts are as follows: Auxiliary and Data Slip Ring Unit Combinent, 36 + 104 channels - Product Name 3154H01A. Under the authority of USC 2304 (a)(1) FAR 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirements. The U.S. Coast Guard intends to procure the requirements from ABB, Inc. All responsible sources are encourages to identify their interest and capabiity to respond to this requirement. This solicitation is a formal notice of intent to procure the stated part. No other notice will be published until award is made.
