The Department of Veterans Affairs (VISN 4 Acquisitions), intends to enter into a sole-source procurement with Accuray (formerly TomoTherapy) 1240 Deming Way, Madison, WI 53717-1954, for an annual maintenance agreement on TomoTherapy- manufactured ring, gantry-based platform for integrated CT imaging located at the VA Medical Center, 30 University Dr., Pittsburgh, PA 15240-1000. NAICS code 334517 applies to this procurement. The proposed contract action is for a maintenance agreement for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.301 as it is believed that this machine and its software is largely proprietary and only Accuray is qualified and certified to provide all levels of maintenance and repairs on this unit. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations- interested persons may identify their interest in this requirement no later than 4:00 PM EST, March 25, 2013 to: Angelamarie Scott, Contract Specialist, at [email protected]. Telephone inquiries will not be accepted. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. This award will be made using simplified acquisition procedures. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
