Notice of intent to award a sole source contract. The National Geospatial Agency (NGA) intends to award a sole source time and materials contract under the auspices of FAR Part 12 to Regents of New Mexico State University DBA Physical Science Laboratory. The contractor shall perform an annual preventative maintenance for three A35M Geodetic Astrolabes. The period of performance will be a base year with four one-year option years. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS AND/OR QUOTES. Interested parties have three (3) days from the date of publication of this Synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact (POC) clear and convincing evidence of their qualifications and/or capabilities. Such qualifications and/or capabilities will be used solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. Responses received after three (3) days or without required information will be considered non-responsive to this Synopsis and will not be considered. A determination by the Government to either conduct or not conduct this effort as a full and open competitive procurement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
