NAVICP-M intends to enter into a Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) with Rolls Woods Group, San Leandro CA. The BOA will cover a three-year period with two one-year extensions and include line items for the evaluation and repair of 501-K34/501-K17 Marine Gas Turbine Engines for various classes of Navy ships. Any orders issued under the BOA will be issued pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). Rolls Woods is the only company that currently possesses the necessary equipment, capability, capacity, tooling, facilities and in-depth knowledge necessary to repair propellers of varied complexity, size and design for combatant and auxiliary ships. The Government does not possess and cannot provide the technical data necessary to the successful repair of the engines. Numbered notes 22 and 26 apply.
