The Department of Defense (DoD), Washington Headquarters Services, Acquisition Directorate (WHS/AD) intends to award a sole source contract under the statutory authority permitting Other Than Full and Open Competition, the Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items ( Section 41 U.S.C. 1901 or the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1903.), as implemented in Federal Acquisition Regulation, FAR 13.501 "Special Documentation Requirements."

The ITS/DMM Support Services will be a Firm Fixed Price Contract (FFP) contract for a base period of twelve (12) months with four (4) - twelve (12) month option period to support WHS Directorates, Facilities Services Directorate (FSD) and Executive Services Directorate (ESD), as well as the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA).

This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 5.2-"Synopses of Proposed Contract Actions, specifically FAR 5.203, "Publicizing and Response Time." requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. WHS currently invested over $640K in hardware, software, and support services for the ITS/DMM Services. If the Government procure this requirement from another vendor besides Bear River Associates, the Government would incur substantial duplication cost of over $640K that is not expected to be recovered through competition, and therefore, is cost prohibitive.
