Notice of Intent

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR QUOTE. 

The United States Air Force (USAF) intends to award a sole-source contract to Virginia Panel Corporation in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(1)(i): For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), contracting officers may solicit from one source if the contracting officer determines that the circumstances of the contract action deem only one source reasonably available. The USAF requires 7 each ITA hardware for VDATS Self-Test and CAL ITAs. These items are commercial in nature with modifications to manufacture ITA hardware for VDATS Self-Test and CAL ITAs. Virginia Panel Corporation has already performed the Research & Development for the necessary modifications to guarantee that no disruption to the existing program data flow is incurred by the introduction of systems and parts incompatible with the core ITA hardware for VDATS Self-Test and CAL ITAs. Any other vendor would require significant Research & Development to provide a ITA hardware for VDATS Self-Test and CAL ITAs identical in form, fit and function to what Virginia Panel Corporation can provide.
