NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT:

The Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) intends to award a sole-source firm-fixed-price (FFP) contract to the Sensor Research and Development Corporation (SRD) for:

2 Ea, IPEMS Chemical Sensor Tags

1 Ea, Laptop with Data Acquisition Software using LabVIEW Interface to store CST data to determine MeS detection and quantitation estimation

Under this effort, SRD will manufacture and deliver the IPEMS Chemical Sensor Tags, and configure and test the Laptop and relevant software to be used in conjunction with the IPEMS Chemical Sensor Tags.  The anticipated award date is August 19, 2011.  This acquisition will be solicited from a single source in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) under the statutory authority derived from 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1).  This announcement does not commit the Government to make a contract award.  This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns under NAICS code 541711 with a size standard of 500 employees.

This notice is NOT a request for competitive proposals.  All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency.  All inquiries must include business name, point of contact, address, and telephone number with area code.  The Government will not be responsible for any costs incurred in responding to this notice of intent.  All documents submitted will not be returned.  A determination not to compete the proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
