Container shall be CERTIFIED and certification documentation provided that each container meets the compressive strength requirements set forth in the Department of Energy - Nevada National Security Site Waste Acceptance Criteria (NNSSWAC) Rev 16-00.
Containers must be designed and manufactured in compliance with the Code of
Federal Regulations Title 49- Transportation, CFR parts; 171.8, 173.24, 173.410,
173.411, and 178.3.
Containers must be welded by personnel certified in accordance with ASME Section
IX. Inspected by certified personnel utilizing a quality control system based
upon 10 CFR Part 50 Appendix B, NQA-1 and MIL-I-45208A.
Container drawing(s) shall be submitted to the APG Waste Certification Official for review and approval.
Containers shall be inspected and certified to meet all of the above requirements at the time of design, construction and inspection in accordance with applicable quality control
procedures and instructions.
Vendor's Quality Assurance Program (QAP) must have been audited within the last year by an approved NNSS waste generator.
Vendor shall provide the APG Waste Certification Official Patrick Eures with container manufacturing dates to allow for an on-site inspection/audit of the containers while being manufactured.
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The combined synopsis/solicitation number is W56ZTN-19-R-0006. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-95.
The Government contemplates award of a Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) Purchase Order for IP-1 B12 Containers for the United States Army Garrison, Aberdeen Proving Ground (USAG-APG). This solicitation is set aside for 100% small business. The Associated North America Industry Classification Code (NAICS) is 332439. This acquisition is in accordance with FAR Part 12 Acquisition of Commercial Items, FAR Part 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items in conjunction with FAR Part 15 Contracting by Negotiation.
