INVITATION TO BID MIDDLETOWN BOARD OF EDUCATION Sealed bids, addressed to the Purchasing Agent, Middletown Board of Education, Room 4, 311 Hunting Hill Ave., Middletown, Connecticut 06457 will be received until 10:00 AM on January 20, 2022 from Contractors for the following: BID# 2021-04 Farm Hill Elementary School Roof Replacement 390 Ridge Road Middletown, CT 06457 State Project #083-0122 RR Work required pursuant to this contract includes furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidentals necessary to complete the construction of the above referenced project. *A pre-bid conference will be held on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at 10:00 am at the site. Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting in person or by representative. Bid documents may be downloaded directly from https://www.middletownschools.org/departments/business_office/official_bid_invitations. Each bidder is responsible for checking the website to determine if any addenda have been issued. All questions concerning this bid shall be submitted in writing via email to Christopher Puorro, Purchasing Agent, at [email protected] by Thursday, January 13, 2022 by 5:00 pm to be considered. A bid bond for five percent (5%) of the base bid cost is required and must accompany each proposal. The successful bidder must file a one hundred percent (100%) Performance Bond, a one hundred percent (100%) Labor & Materials Bond and a Certificate of Insurance with the Purchasing Agent within ten (10) days of notice of bid award. In accordance with Connecticut General Statute Sections 4a-100 and 4b-91, a responsible bid must contain two (2) documents: The Contractor Prequalification Certificate and the Update (Bid) Statement. The classification ROOFING is required as a minimum. This contract is subject to state set-aside and contract compliance requirements. The Middletown Board of Education reserves the right to waive any defect in any bid and reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof. Bids, amendments to, or withdrawals of bids received after the time set for the receipt of bids will not be considered.
