The Regional Health Contracting Office-Central, Fort Carson Health Contracting Cell is issuing this sources sought notice as a means of conducting market research to identify potential sources for Intraocular Lens Implants (IOLs) and Lasik Patient Care Kits for procedures performed at Evans Army Community Hospital, Fort Carson, Colorado. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 339115-Ophthalmic Goods Manufacturing with a small business size standard of 1000 employees.

THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION FOR PROPOSALS AND NO CONTRACT SHALL BE AWARDED FROM THIS NOTICE. This sources sought is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not commit the Government to contract or any financial obligations.

IOL Implant Characteristics-aspheric lens with anterior asymmetric biconvex optic made of foldable acrylic material and capable of being injected into eye with the Monarch III injector.
a. Monofocal One-piece Intraocular Lens Implant: Available in dioptric power range from +6.0 to +30.0 diopters in half diopter steps; have 0 degrees of haptic angulation; 13.0mm in length (+/- 0.5mm).
b. Monofocal Three-piece Intraocular Lens Implant: Available in dioptric power range from +6.0 to +30.0 diopters in half diopter steps; have two separate haptics attached to the lens with a 10 degree haptic angulation (+/- 1 degree); 13.0mm in length (+/- 0.5mm); capable of being implanted into the ciliary sulcus (anatomical feature) of the eye.
c. Monofocal Toric One-piece Intraocular Lens Implant: Available in dioptric power range from +6.0 to +30.0 diopters in half diopter steps; have 0 degrees of haptic angulation; 13.0mm in length (+/- 0.5mm); must correct corneal astigmatism from 1.50 diopters to 6.00 diopters.
d. Multifocal One-piece Intraocular Lens Implant: Available in dioptric power range from +6.0 to +30.0 diopters in half diopter steps; have 0 degrees of haptic angulation; 13.0mm in length (+/- 0.5mm); must have an Add power of +3.00 diopters.

Lasik Patient Care Kits contained in a water resistant pouch secured either by velcro or zipper, includes: Protective polycarbonate dual eye shield with an adjustable elastic strap and a pair of UVA and UVB protective sunglasses with N-15 tint (allows for 15% of light to filter through +/- 5%).
