The National Science Foundation (NSF) intends to make an award to Internet2 for Network Participation Fees for the period of October 1, 2010 through September 30, 2011. The participation and port connection fees were awarded prior to the effective dates and the participation fees were not paid, which has resulted in a ratification.

Mid-Atlantic Crossroads, a University of Maryland entity, is the only source for connecting to the membership consortium services that are used as part of the Internet2 consortium.

The proposed contract action is for services for which the government intends to sponsor with only one source under the authority of FAR 12.106. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. This synopsis is for information purposes only.
