The National Science Foundation (NSF) intends to make an award to Internet2 for videoconferencing support services. This support will include standard video conferencing bridging devices that use the H.323 standard, the SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) and TIP (TelePresence Interoperability Protocol). Service is needed to support Standard Definition and 1080p High Definition multivendor interoperability.

The period of performance will be for the period of October 1, 2012 through September 30, 2013.

Internet2 is the only source for providing the diverse and broad bridge service that meets NSF's interoperability needs.

The proposed contract action is for services for which the government intends to sponsor with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b). This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. This synopsis is for information purposes only.
