This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals.

The North American Classification System (NAICS) code applicable to this requirement is 333314 - Optical Instrument and Lens Manufacturing with a size standard of 500 employees.

The basis for the sole source determination is based upon the fact that:

Nikon Instruments, Inc. is the sole provider of the Nikon Ti-E Inverted Research Microscope. Therefore, they are the sole provider of all components for their proprietary equipment.

The Notice of Intent expires 7 calendar days from its posting.

Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement, in writing, no later than the response date. Written responses to this notice shall contain sufficient documentation to establish a bona fide capability to fulfill the requirement.
