NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE:

Marine Corps Installations East (MCI-East) Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order Faro Technologies, Inc., 250 Technology Park, Lake Mary, FL  32746-6204, (Cage Code: 0VGY2) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.

Fleet Readiness Center East aboard MCAS Cherry Point, NC has a requirement to establish a contract to procure services of calibration and warranty of (10) Faro Arm’s and (1) Laser Line.  Market research has revealed this contractor is the only source capable of providing the required services.  Therefore, the government intends to procure these services on a sole source basis from Faro Technologies, Inc., the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of this chemical. 

THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which, if received within ten (10) calendar days after the date of the publication of this synopsis, will be considered.   Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.  A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
