This notice is to inform vendors that the government intends to sole source directly with Abbott Laboratories for the following iSTAT devices:

i-STAT BNP level 3 control

i-STAT calibration verification kit

i-STAT Chem 8+ calibration verification kit

i-STAT Chem 8+ cartridge

i-STAT Chem 8+ level 1 control

i-STAT Chem 8+ level 1B calibration verification

i-STAT Chem 8+ level 3 control

i-STAT G3+ cartridge

i-STAT Hematocrit calibration kit

i-STAT Hematocrit level 1 control

In the past, the manufacturer has not released these items to vendors who did not have the items already in stock. This is not a solicitation for quotes, but rather, an attempt to identify vendors who carry these items in stock in an effort to compete the requirement. Any vendor who believes they can meet the government must demonstrate an ability to ship these items within 48 hours of receipt of Purchase Order. Please send your capabilities to the Contracting Officer with "OPEO-iSTAT-2013" in the subject email. Please provide responses no later than 3/6/2013 by 10AM ET. Thank you!
