Naval Medical Center San Diego anticipates making a sole source award under statutory authority 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) and FAR 13.106-1(b) (1) (i), only one responsible source, with:
Biotronik, Inc.

The objective of the sole source award is to procure MRI Single Chamber ICDs. Biotronik is the only company found with the DX lead, which is required for the maximum points of contact in multiple areas of the heart. The DX lead will improve patient care and increase the scope of supervision because it allows for a larger number of sensors in the heart.

The NAICS code for the requirement is 334510.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement.
