This contract, HSCG89-06-D-6WKAAA, was awarded to KSS, 4600 Debarr Road, Suite 200, Kodiak, Alaska 99508-3126.5, on 15 August 2006. The contract period of performance ends 31 March 2017. The BOSS contract encompasses a variety of services to support USCG Base Kodiak Alaska including a preventive maintenance program supporting the Base Kodiak and tenant commands; janitorial services; refuse collection and disposal; recycling collection; grounds maintenance; snow removal; ice control; roadway maintenance and repair; sewer maintenance and repair; fuel services; environmental protection and emergency response services; vehicles maintenance; plant operations; shipping/receiving and mail services; housing change of occupancy maintenance; material/weight handling (crane services); caretaker activities; pest control; incidental minor construction including maintenance, repair, and improvement work for facilities; security guard services; Air Station vehicle and equipment maintenance and repair; locksmith services; and other support work to keep the 21,000 acres of land with 400+ buildings on the Base operational. The USCG is currently in the process of soliciting a competitive follow-on contract for these services and anticipates an award no later than 1 July 2017. This anticipated sole source modification action against contract HSCG89-06-D-6WKAAA is to carry BOSS (starting 1 April 2017) until the follow-on contract for these services have been solicited, awarded, transitioned, and new contract started. This sole source modification is pursuant to 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) "Only One Responsible Source/a Limited Number of Responsible Sources and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition will be posted after the execution of the modification.
