US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Geospace Technologies of Houston, TX for Geophone Seismic Detectors, quantity 188 each.  Due to the proprietary nature of the existing equipment and the necessity for compatibility with the current ground sensors, Georspace Technologies is the only manufacturer capable of meeting these requirements. Dellivery shall be FOB Destination, San Diego, CA.  The purchase order will be under simplified acquisition procedures and other than full and open competition as authorized by FAR 6.301-1.

This notice is not a request for quote.  No award will be made on the basis of quotes received in response to this notice. A determination not to compete this procurement based on any response to this notice is soley at the discretion of the Government. No solicitation will be issued for this sole source requirement and no other information will be provided.
