This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 5.101(a)(2) requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source procurement contract, and is not a request for competitive proposals. The statutory authority for this sole-source procurement is FAR Subpart 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.

Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Tenant Division, 6001 Combat Drive, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD 21005, intends to award a sole-source, firm-fixed price contract to NCS Corporation located at 1385 West Goodale Boulevard, Columbus, Ohio 43212, to provide one (1) Brand Name Only LMP-3000 with Vertrel Halocarbon Monitor in accordance with the attached specifications for the Edgewood Chemical and Biological Center (ECBC). The Halocarbon Monitor is required for the analysis of gases in direct support of emergency responses and remediation work. NCS Corporation is the manufacturer that provides a product that meets the portability and Vertrel detection needs required by ECBC. No other system meets the capabilities without unacceptable delays in fulfilling the requirement and/or substantial developmental costs to the Government.
