The Naval Inventory Control Point, Mechanicsburg, intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with ITT Visual Information Solutions for IDL Linux floating network maintenance. ITT, the OEM, sells directly to customers, they have no resellers; therefore, the proposed acquisition is being pursued on a sole-source basis. The products will be procured in accordance with FAR 13.5. A firm fixed price contract for license reinstatement, a base period and two, one year options is contemplated; anticipated award date on or before September 30th, 2009. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by closing date will be considered by the government. A determination of the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
