The IAS lab has worked with flow cytometers using similar configurations as the BD FACSCelesta. The lab will no longer have ready access to these existing flow cytometers. The IAS lab has an urgent need to acquire their own flow cytometer that will serve their daily usage, and will allow the lab to continue to use protocols that have been established over many years of experimenting. This will also allow the comparison of data obtained previously with future data to be obtained. The use of another model flow cytometry system the lab will not be able to use any past protocol data, therefore limiting their experimental processes.
