This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures found at FAR Part 13, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted only on FEDBIZOPPS.
The Solicitation number, N6449818Q0020. The proposed contract action is for commercial items, in accordance with the Requirements Statement. The Product Service Code (PSC) for this requirement is J044. The NAICS code is 811310 and the Small Business Standard $7.5. This solicitation documents and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through FAC 2005-97 and DFARS Change Notice 20180131. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Philadelphia Office intends to negotiate and award a sole source contract to Allied Mineral Products. The proposed acquisition is to procure installation of initial refractory lining into a new 85-ton furnace. This action will result in a firm fixed-price (FFP) purchase order.
The awarded contract for the above requirement is for commercial services for which the Government will solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b). Allied Mineral Products (Cage 65653) is the only authorized regional vendor of Gradmatic Refractory Installation and Vibration System. The OEM of the system, Gradmatic, has certified that Allied Mineral Products' technicians are knowledgeable in the operation and utilization of the installation apparatus to properly install the refractory products.
Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to future similar requirements, however, this notice is not intended to be a request for competitive proposals from any source. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this notice.
