The City of Bristol is seeking bids for installation of air conditioning and replacement of the emergency generator at Firehouse 2, located at 151 Hill Street, Bristol CT. Bid documents may be obtained for a $30.00 nonrefundable fee payable to QuestCDN by downloading from the QuestCDN web site. Bids will be accepted until June 6, 2022 at 1:00 pm via the online electronic bidding system through QuestCDN.com. Bids received after the opening date and time will not be considered for award. The City reserves the right to waive any informalities in the bid, to reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in its judgment is in its best interest. A mandatory prebid meeting will be held at the project site on May 25, 2022 at 9:00am. Bids from firms not in attendance will not be considered for award. Each bid shall be accompanied by a Bid Security in the amount of 10% of the bidders base bid amount, in the form of a Bid Bond made payable to the City of Bristol. The awarded contractor will be required to secure a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract award, provided by a surety licensed to do business in the State of Connecticut. The successful Bidder shall not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, religion, gender, or national origin.
