Request for Independent Third Party Inspection of Railcar Axles and Wheels.

The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is seeking an Expression of Interest (EOI) from prospective contractors who may be interested in competing, on a full and open basis, for a contract to inspect DC Hollow Axles, AC Axles and 28" Dia. Multi-wear Wheels for WMATA's 1K Series through 6K Series Railcar at various manufacturers location, Brazil, France, United State, Czech Republic.

Inspection will be performed in accordance with WMATA Axles and Wheels Inspection Procedure and Drawings.  Inspection companies must be AAR certified.

Your response must be received via email request, with subject reading "Axles/Wheels Inspection - EOI," no later than 2:00 PM on Friday, October 8, 20010 via E-mail [email protected].
