SYNOPSIS: Insensitive Munitions Transportation Protection System (IM/TPS)

The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD) - Picatinny Detachment, intends to issue a Firm Fixed Price, Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract on a Sole Source (SS) basis to American Technical Coatings Materials, Inc. (ATC), Westlake, Ohio for the Insensitive Munitions Transportation Protection System (IM/TPS). The intended contract will consist of a base year with two (2) option years. ATC is the only known company with the requisite technical qualifications and facilities to perform this work within the required time frame. This synopsis is for information purposes only. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Explosive Ordnance Disposal Technology Division (NSWC IHEODTD) requires a contractor capable of producing the following on behalf of the United States Navy (USN):

• Mk 450 Ballistic Barrier Panels along with Stand Missile (SM) TPS version 2.1 spares

This Solicitation will be restricted under 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1; Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
