The National Institute of Environmental Health Science (NIEHS) intends to award a Purchase Order to INFORS USA, 9157 Whiskey Bottom Road, Laurel, MD 20723, for a Multitron Pro Refrigerated Incubated Orbital Shaker.

The North American industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334516 and the business size standard is 500. NO SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR QUOTE (RFQ) IS AVAILABLE. It has been determined that INFORS USA, is the only known responsible source capable of providing the required instruments and no other product will satisfy the agency's requirements.

The purpose of this Purchase Order is to obtain a Multitron Pro Refrigerated Incubated Orbital Shaker from INFORS USA. This vendor is uniquely qualified to provide this instrument as it is the only shaker compatible with the lab's existing shakers. This unit is required to be stacked upon an existing shaker and its refrigeration device is currently housed in the Genome Stability Structural Biology Group at the NIEHS, RTP, NC.

This notice of intent is not a solicitation or request for quotes. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting NIEHS' requirement, as stated herein, may submit their corporate capabilities, which, if received by the response date of this announcement, may be considered. Responses to this posting must be in writing and shall be emailed to Valarie K. Sims at [email protected] and are due by 10:00 AM on April 13, 2016. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future.
