National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive Kidney Diseases (NIDDK) plans to procure, on a sole source basis ,with Illumina, Inc., 5200 Illumina Way, San Diego, CA 92122 for the following:

• Infinium iSelect LCG Custom Kits

This acquisition will be processed in accordance with simplified acquisition procedures as stated in FAR Part 13.106-1(b)(1). The North American Industry Classification System Code is 541380 and the business size standard is $14 Million.

Only one award will be made as a result of this solicitation. This will be awarded as a firm-fixed price type contract.

Our lab requires seven Infinium iSelect LCG Custom Kits containing reagents for processing 48 DNA samples and analyzing up to 2.5M loci which will be used to genotype kidney disease patients. This unique panel offers 1.7 million markers, including >400,000 exonic markers and additional markers of clinical, pharmacologic and ancestry significance. Eight samples are run on this chip. We plan to study genetic variants associated with focal segmental glomerulosclerosis and response to therapy and progression to end-stage kidney disease. This is a unique panel to this company and it allows customization of remaining spaces on chip to add our labs unique genotyping needs. Illumina is the only source that can provide this unique chip, with these sets of exonic and ancestry markers (see additional information).

This is not a solicitation for competitive quotations. However, if any interested party believes they can meet the above requirement, they may submit a statement of capabilities. All information furnished must be in writing and must contain sufficient detail to allow the NIDDK to determine if it can meet the above unique specifications described herein. An original and one copy of the capability statement must be received in the DK Acquisitions Branch on or before 11:30 AM EST on August 19, 2015.
