i. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
ii. AG-0202-S-11-0002 is issued as a request for quotation.
iii. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition circular 05-43.

v. Provide the following as indicated below:
We believe Illumina to be the sole manufacturer of a custom-designed high density bead chip kit, referred to as Infinium assay and the sole manufacturer of the chemical reagents for the Infinium assay. If you can provide the brand name Illumina assay system for use in an ongoing research project, please submit a quote for six units of 48 samples.
vii. Deliver 8 to 12 weeks from award and receipt of both the purchase order and final SNP list. USDA-ARS will accept final delivery within 3 months.
viii. The clause 52.214-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items and 52.214-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues of Executive Orders - Commercial Items, apply to this acquisition.
