This posting is being updated to publish questions and responses received from the RRAD site visit, post the attendee roster and to provide interested vendors with a map of the RRAD facility.
Industrial Product – Vendor Support (IPV) - Performance Based Logistics (PBL) Successor Initiative. This Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) initiative supports the implementation of a total supply chain management system by the contractors to provide direct support of bench stock items to Army Material Command (AMC) Depots. A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between AMC and DLA establishes the IPV programs as managed partnerships where DLA supported by IPV contractors provides full supply chain management to Army Maintenance Depots for bench stock items (materiel stored in bins such as bolts, nuts, and washers).
The scope of this contract is for logistics support and total supply chain management of bench stock items for maintenance lines at Red River Army Depot (RRAD). Bench stock items are normally stored in bins at or near the point of use (line-side stock in performance of the maintenance, repair, and/or overhaul of military weapons systems or related equipment. Bench stock items also include items that are not stored in a bin due to size or special storage requirements, but are stored near the point of use line-side stock.
The current RRAD IPV contract expires July 2021. The solicitation for the successor contract is expected to open April, 2020.
A pre-proposal site visit is planned at Red River Army Depot for Tuesday, March 3, 2020. Site visit will begin at 8:00am local time. There is a limit of 2 individuals/representatives per contractor for the site visit. Those interested in attending must return the RRAD Site Visit RSVP Form (Attachment 1) through the IPV mailbox at [email protected] by close of business February 25, 2020.
Please note: Pre-proposal attendees are required to wear closed toed shoes. Safety glasses and ear protection while touring the facilities will be provided by RRAD. Transportation between the buildings will be provided however the tour will require extensive walking, please be prepared.
