The United States Air Force intends to procure services for the accreditation of the laboratory at the School of Aerospace Medicine to conduct analysis of paint chips, dust and soil samples for the presence of lead (Pb). This proposed action is for procurement of a service for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.106-1. The proposed source is the American Hygiene Industrial Association, 2700 Prosperity Ave. STE 250, Fairfax, VA, 22031-4340. The notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, all quotations received within three (3) days of the issuance of this notice will be considered by the government. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
