The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends on awarding a Sole Source Contract to CB&I Federal Services for in situ bioremediation has been identified as an alternative that is potentially a more effective groundwater remediation technology. Treatability and pilot testing is required to fully evaluate bioaugmentation (a type of bioremediation) as an alternative treatment technology for the site prior to selecting, designing, and implementing a full-scale in situ bioremediation program.
