The system listed in Section A is being solicited for the Department of Veterans Affairs, Medical Center Supply Service located at Dallas, TX 75216 (Dallas VA).  The requested equipment is required to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients and is proprietary to St. Jude Medical LLC.  Any alternate or substitute product will not be acceptable in supporting Dallas VA's ongoing mission.

St. Jude Ilumien PCI Optimization System

The St. Jude Ilumien PCI Optimization System has a proprietary imaging engine, custom PC software and    wireless receivers to perform fractional flow reserve (FFR) measurements as well as optical coherence tomography (OCT) which can be used to examine the coronary arteries.  FFR is important for determining the severity of coronary lesions, and avoiding unnecessary revascularization.  OCT is needed to determine the severity of coronary artery lesions, planning coronary intervention and ensuring that an adequate result has been achieved.  The Ilumien PCI System includes the following:
