It has been determined that Illumina,Inc., is the only known responsible source capable of providing the required instruments and no other product will satisfy the agency's requirements.

The purpose of this Purchase Order is to carry out large scale projects involving whole-genome sequencing on the Illumina Genome Analyzer System HiSeq2500 and HiSeq4000. Illumina reagents are the only source that is compatible with the current research, the Illumina scanner and software. The use of Illumina platform is crucial to the success of the Mechanisms of Genome Dynamics Group's mission to the NIEHS, RTP, NC to assure continuity of research.

This notice of intent is not a solicitation or request for quotes. Notwithstanding, any firm that believes it is capable of meeting NIEHS' requirement, as stated herein, may submit their corporate capabilities, which, if received by the response date of this announcement, may be considered. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
